The idol of Tulja Bhavani is a “Chala Murti” (चल मूर्ती). Which means the idol of Tulja Bhavani Mata is movable. The idol ceremoniously moved three times in a year :
- 5 Days before Shardiya Navratri Starts (October-September).
- 9 Days after Shardiya Navratri Ends.
- 7 Days before Shakambhari Navratri Starts (December-January).
This 3 times in a year the idol of Tulja Bhavani moved from Sinhasan and placed on the Gadi (Mata bed) to rest.
