Kallol Tirth is the place where Bramhadev called Vishwakarma to make a holy tank. Where 108 river water comes together. Also Bramhadev invited 108 intelligent Pandits to perform Abhishek of mata Tuljabhavani with 108 holy river water. Kallol Tirth is located at Tuljabhavani Temple, Tuljapur, Maharashtra. You will find Kallol Tirtha on the left as you walk towards the temple from Shahaji Mahadwar. You will see it’s in rectangular shape made in hemadpanti architechure in Yadavakalin era in 1000CE.
How Kallol Tirtha get its name?
Kallol Tirth has interesting origin. Long ago Bramhadev invited 108 Pandits to this sacred location. These pandits called to perform special divine ritual at this place. During this sacred gathering, Bramhadev blessed this site and brought together the water of 108 holy rivers. Due to this 108 holy rivers gathered together at one place so, it was called as “Kallol”.
